As with most urban centres, Winnipeg has lost much of its native habitat to urban development. Community members have begun to show a great interest in the survival of native species and the need for preserving and restoring local habitat. The Urban Stewardship Resource Network is the first time this wide range of information on local native habitats and habitat projects has been brought together and provided for public use.
