Sadly,
on
the
evening
of
November
29th
the
Seine
River
lost
a
longtime
neighbour
and
supporter
of
the
Bois
des
Esprits.
Mr.
Ken
Simpson
of
St.
Anne's
Rd.
passed
away
at
St.
Boniface
Hospital.
Mr.
and
Mrs.
K.
Simpson
have
lived
along
the
Seine
for
over
10
years
enjoying
the
wildlife
and
natural
surroundings.
On
April
24th
they
attended
the
Morrow
Gospel
Church
meeting
and
were
saddened
by
the
clear
cut
of
the
forest
Easter
Monday
(April
1st
2002).
Mrs.
Simpson
has
requested
that
in
lieu
of
flowers
a
donation
can
be
made
to
Save
Our
Seine's
Bois
des
Esprits
fund
or
another
charity
in
the
memory
of
Ken
Simpson.
Save
Our
Seine
is
saddened
by
Mrs.
Simpson's
loss
and
honoured
to
be
able
to
commemorate
her
husband's
memory.
The
SOS
Board
has
unanimously
agreed
to
plant
a
tree
within
the
Bois
des
Esprits
next
spring
in
his
memory.
