The following guide prepared by Rivers West describes a 1.8 km winter walk on the Seine River between John Bruce Bridge to Bishop Grandin using the frozen river one way and the Louis Riel Senior trail the other followed by another 5.6 km round trip walk on the river between John Bruce Bridge to Southglen Bridge. The guide contains interesting descriptions of the history of the area being walked as well as other parts of the Seine River, including discussions about the origins of the name Seine River.
