Purpose:
- to study and identify the full potential of the study area,
a portion of the Seine River Corridor between Bishop Grandin Boulevard
and the Future Warde Avenue extension.
- to study the potential of preserving the forest, Bois des Esprits
due to its value as a natural area and understand its relationship
with adjacent uses.
- to study the historic characteristics of the area surrounding
the Bois des Esprits and the Riel Grist Mill site and identify
ways to interpret these elements.
- to develop a concept plan that balances preservation of the
forest with passive recreational/interpretive use in the study
area and integration into its surrounding context.
