Announcement: SOS Welcomes New Executive Director

On behalf of the Board of Directors of Save Our Seine River Environment Inc. (SOS), President Brent Thomas is pleased to announce the appointment of Patrick Krawec as Executive Director.

Patrick is a dynamic leader with over 20 years of experience in Manitoba’s non-profit sector, including as founding Board Member and Executive Director of the nationally-recognized Winnipeg Repair Education and Cycling Hub (WRENCH). His proven track record in environmental programming and community development will enable SOS to continue building its vision for a sustainable and protected Seine River Greenway,” says Thomas.

Patrick begins his tenure on September 22, 2025.

Since 1990, SOS has sought to protect, enhance, and advocate for the Seine River and surrounding natural areas in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Through its grassroots actions, community outreach, and engagement with all levels of government and private industry, SOS continues to have a significant impact on improving the health of the Seine River and increasing community accessibility to natural spaces.
